ABOUT BROMSGROVE HANDYMAN BromsgroveHandyman.co.uk is the trading name of myself, Gordon Dipple. I am a local person who's family roots in Bromsgrove go back many generations. I have worked chiefly as an artisan, embracing a wealth of experience, predominately in the construction industries, spanning some thirty years. I operate a "green" policy undertaking mostly local work principally renovation & repair, with an emphasis on necessary work in keeping with the building and the area, using traditional or reclaimed materials where possible. Fortunately, I have a sufficient trusted client base to fill my work diary. However as clients move on, I occasionally can find time for new ones. I am always busy with one thing or another, I have recently been very busy with exterior painting & renovations.

Fortunately, most of my work consists of small jobs that take less than a day, they are usually seasonal or weather dependant, so I can easily rearrange my schedule to suit your individual needs.

I rarely give a precise quotation for my work, because a contingency price has to be added to cover unseen problems and additional costs, leading to unnecessarily high pricing. My clients and I have found that it is fairest to all to charge based on a daily/hourly rate appropriate for the work involved (see below).
LOW RATE
e.g. work normally undertaken by clients : - Interior painting, general gardening, graveside care, cleaning, etc . . .
Charged at £80 per eight hour day - minimum £20 (up to 2hrs)
MEDIUM RATE
e.g. work of a technical nature : - Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Exterior painting, computer repair, etc . . .
Charged at £100 per eight hour day - minimum £30 (up to 2hrs)
STANDARD RATE
e.g. work of a dangerous nature : - Roof repairs, handling dangerous materials (e.g. chemicals, raw sewage, etc), etc . . .
Charged at £180 per eight hour day - minimum £60 (up to 2hrs)
In addition to Labour costs, Materials and expenses are to be added for final price.
Work survey and verbal estimates are FREE. Written quotations for insurance purposes are charged at Medium Rate.
