Gordon & Scott Australia Trip - 21st September to 4th of November 2005

This is a rough temporary online diary of our trip for friends and family, so that you all may know where we are, where we have been and what our plans are. 21st September - 23rd September,
Colin picked us up from home and took us to Digbeth coach station for transfer to Heathrow Airport. After a grulling 24 hour + trip Andrew and Linda picked us up at Melbourne airport, they selled us in at there place and took us around Melbourne sight seeing and to watch the sunset from St Kilda. We visted Paul, Carol and baby Leon before returning with Andrew and Linda for a delicious supper and early night.

24th September,
Andrew takes us to "Pipe works" Market to visit Cousin Anthony. In the Afternoon we go for a walk in Wandong "red gum" forest. Later that evening we have "Family Meal" in Wandong.

25th September,
Early rise, Andrew & Linda takes us for 600 kilometer drive across the state of Victoria returning via the famous "Great Ocean Road" stopping at Appolo Bay for lunch. Via Scotts Creek & Gordon Avenue !

26th September,
Spent the day with friend Alan and his colleague Garry, concrete cutting at "Sunshine" then "Brayside", Alan took me back to see the family & have supper. Scott went to "Ramsay Street" and Melbourne city. We all met up and went to an open mike night at "The Art House" then on later to Young and Jackson Hotel for excellent free Comedy club.

27th September,
Day catching up with washing, walk around Canterbury, visit Balwyn Library.

28th September,
Andrew took us to Melbourne airport, caught flight to Cairns, stoppped at YHA central, walked down to Lagoon in evening.

29th September,
Went to Cape Tribulation via rain forest walk & swim in the creek, Daintry River crocodile spotting

30th September,
Spent day at Crocodylus YHA hostel, hired bikes and went to Cow Bay for a swim in the sea.

1st October,
Caught bus from Cairns to Mission Beach. Picked up by courtesy bus transfered to The Tree House Hostel.

2nd October,
Went to Information center in Wongaling, sorted next few days travel out with Steve Howard. I went for a walk on the beach with some locals admiring veiws of Dunk Iskand waiting for Scott to land from his SKY DIVE !!!!!!

3rd October,
Day on River Tully white-water rafting.

Next update of this page is unknown as we will be sailing on the Great Barrier Reef around the Whitsunday Islands and then going for a 4x4 safari on Fraser Island.
